Default Protein Suppliments queerie....

With all these suppliments on the market - Whey, Creatine and others, I have a question.

I'm guessing that they don't contain anything illegal, but I'm a bit concerned that if I started to utilise the suppliments as part of a pro-active fitness plan, and I was mediscreened at work, would they show up anything that would basically end my career?

no not at all, drinking whey protein is basically the same as eating a few chicken breasts or a bit of steak - all contain protein

even with steroids, they are legal to take and posses a 3 months personal supply just illegal to sell them, but the chances of being tested for steroids is very very slim as the cost of the test is silly!!

they normally only test for the likes of controlled drugs, so coke, pills, skunk etc

but if you have having a test anytime soon, dont take ephedrine as it will show up as speed in your blood/piss, as it is in the same drug group, but you could argue if questioned you had taken dodo chesteze due to a tight/heavy chest

I'm not after taking anything that looks or even sounds illegal

Just the protein suppliments such as Whey are fine for what I need

Cheers for the info

some more info on creatine for anyone interested

In humans, approximately half of stored creatine originates from food (mainly from fresh meat and fish). Since vegetables do not contain creatine, vegetarians clearly show lower levels of muscle creatine which, upon creatine supplementation, rise to a level higher than in meat-eaters
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creatine

so basically by adding extra creatine, which is basically an extract from meat, its just upping the levels in your system
