Default My Story

Hi Guys

Just thought id post a bit about what im up to..........

As people who've met me know im a right fat fuker

But i was diagnosed diabetic last year [hardly suprising] and had a full health check by me gp, the results were shocking tbh

i new i was clinically obese but even i was shocked

Anyway im 40 next April and my gp said, bascially its diet or die

Now the bad bit, Feb this year i was........................

27 Stone 7 pound

52% body fat

Metabolic rat of a 57yr old

56 inch waist

Shook me right up, i was in tears tbh

Anyway i have one of the best jobs going tbh, there 3 of us in the office and my boss said he would set up a gym for me downstairs aslong as i
commited myself to getting fit..............

here few pics.................







So on feb the 1st i started the big diet & fitness plan

I had no tutition, just used commen sense when excersiing & diet, everybody knows whats good & bad for you...........


anyway its been a hard year for me but ive enjoyed it, i feel 100& fitter
than before, ive had a total lifestyle change, cut down drinking by 75%, dont eat any inhealthy food, excersie 5 times a week for 2 hrs a day...

So as a pat on the back, my boss has just hired me my own personnal trainer i cant thank him enuff, i have 4 sessions a week working
on my weight loss for now, but i still do hi rep weights when i can...

so in 10 months its gone from.............

27 sotne 7 pound to 22 stone 10 pound

52% bodyfat to 43%

met rate of 52yr old - 47 yr old

56Inch to 46inch waist

I know i still have a long way to go, were aiming for 19.5 stone by my 40th next year..

Doing well guys, thax 4 the support...........

had my 3rd training session with my pt, fair play only
done a hour, used treadmill, light hi rep weights, 10min
on x trainer and 20min boxing, fook me they no how to
get you working, aching like fook 2day

Bloody well done Rob, im a big bloke too and am just thinking about getting fit also, im 36 next week and think its about time I did something about it. You’re an inspiration

i basically run his business lol. so he does look after me....

Go for it mate, it aint easy beleive me, but when you see the results
the buzz you get really pushes you on.....................

plus i genuinely feel 100% better, physically & mentally....

you got a few years more to get it done and a lot less weight
so you should do even better

Good on you Rob

I started training in order to get quality of life back too, as in it needed done also for health reasons. In my case Id busted up more bones and had more muscles ripped & cut open that I care to remember.

Back at the start lifting a 2kg dumbell & more than just a few excercises & movements wernt possible. Simply by puting in the time and sticking with it ive exceeded my expectations. I've seen results I wouldnt have believed possible a matter of years back.

Stick with it mate, I look forward to reading about your progress over the coming months.

oooo sounds painfull andy? why u been in the wars?

this trainer does alot rehabilitation work, he has 2 soliders who
were blown up in iraq who hes helping recover......really knows his
stuff!

Good stuff, Know myself what it's like myself, Lost four stone last year, It's amazing what a little work can do, What ever you do dont get out of the routine, Cause it's an absolute killer to get yourself back into the swing of going and doing the work.

Did you take any pitctures for before and after reference, It's amazing to look back on them and see how far you've come, Very good for motivating

Long way to go yet, but im half way to being my ideal weight
and now ive got a good routine it should be easier

GUTTED

Got shin splints in my left leg, been over doing the jogging by the looks
so gota rest till tues, done loasds upper body stuff & boxing today
but he giving me a rest till then....

where do you get your jeans from ? im waist 40-42 kinda fluctuates, and i have trouble finding jeans to suit that size, GAP do them, cant find anywhere else

Had my health assesment yesterday after a month with my personnel trainer, he changed my diet a bit, its very low fat but ive cut back on carbs

also been doing alot cardio, very little weights

so in 1 month ive:

lost 1 stone 1Lb total , which with the fact ive gained 8lb in muscle is quite good

Body fat is down fron 43% - 35%

Visceral fat down from 24 - 19

ive well exceeded my goal already for 22 dec and still got 2 weeks to go
so were going change them today to hit some new targets!!
