Hi,

What is the best liquid to drink protein powder with ?

Ive been using semi skimmed milk, is this any good, would full skimmed milk be better because of the lower fat content or is water best ?

What do other people use ?

I use Semi-skimmed Milk mate and have never had any porblems, usually find that it tastes better with Milk rather than Water too

I use fully skimmed, like you say, just to lower my fat intake.

For milk Skimmed, .......but water is best to avoid all the "Milk Sugars".

I found they taste vile with water - and even worse with fruit juice like orange!

I just have mine with milk.

I take mine with Water.. Tastes fine.. I use the maximuscle stuff so maybe that just tastes better

Depends on timing, Have it with water as soon as i wake and after training and with skimmed milk if i have one before bed or anytime when quick uptake isn't needed.

Having whey with milk slows digestion so isn't a good idea when just woken as your body has been without protein for 8 hours or so and also after training when your body needs it.

Other times it can be an advantage as it keeps the protein in your system longer, like food, upto 3 hours until your next meal.
