Default Protein intake ???

Hi,

Just a quick question....

Is it okay to eat the same amount of protein on a day off from training as you would on a training day ?

cheers, Duncan

Yes, ideally aim for 1gm per 1lb of bodyweight.

Example: At 224lb i aim for 200+grams of Protein per day.

if you want to gain lean muscle you need over 250g protein in my opinion, and then that increases depending on your direction o goals within your workouts

i try and shove 300g of protein down my neck and maybee 350-400 on training days.

its also good to have one day of pure protein intake a month, to kick start your body into shape, but dont do it much more as it will have a negative effect on muscle growth

let me know how you get on mate!

remember if it doesnt hurt, make u sweat and thik i cant lift this, then your not doing it rigth! lol

I take on about 300g of protien a day, and just under 100g of carbs.

Trying to cut as i have "some" extra weight i need shifting....

I do lower it a little on weekends, but i train 4 to 5 days a week so mainly on chicken, eggs and shakes....

Just try and stay off the red, steaky meat. I know how tempting it is but it's not that great for you.
