Long swim coming up
Similar to the rugby game post, on saturday night aroound 7pm I am meant to be doing a 5000 metre sponserd swim for charity, now have been swimming a while, but just want to know what I should be eating that day. I dont want to eat to much as I sometimes feel ill in the pool when swimming in the evening even though its been 3 hours odd since I last ate. But need enough energy to last the swim.
Any help would be appreciated!

James, exactly the same prinicples apply, so I'd follow the suggestions in the rugby post and carb load the day before and the morning of the swim.
