I've just started training....
I've just started training yesterday
Anyone got any advice to offer
I dont necessarily need to put weight on as i already weigh over 15 and a half stone, most of it fat , but i want to tone it up and turn it into something useful, like muscle
I went down the gym yesterday and did some various lifting, mainly concentrating on the arms, as my right knee is a major weakness (the muscle hasnt developed properly above it, and the knee cap as slipped to the outside of my knee).
Is it worth me taking any suppliments?
Also, my brother has just started as well, and he could do with putting weight on, any advice?
Thanks, most appreciated!

Mike, its not worth taking supplements until you know what you need to supplement. The sticky explains how to work out how many calories you need each day based on your goals.
As far as training is concerned a mixture of cardio and weight training will help you loose some flab and tone up. Stu has got a nice routine where he is doing weights Monday, Wednesday and Friday and cardio Tuesday and Thursday.
Paul.
