feeling tired and lethargic
I seem to be ok doing general duties but when I get to the gym I seem to serious struggle and feel to weak and lazy to get motivated to do stuff.
im not sure if its a mental block, diet or actual tiredness?
I do an office based job so no heavy work or anything to keep me active..
is there any tips or cheats to get me around this? I often stay at work longer than I should not being overly productive but stay due to stress and lack of motivation to get up out and do other things.
How much sleep should I be getting?
How much does diet affect this feeling?
I promised I'd get myself sorted out this year just a few pointers I would appreciate.

You should try and get around 8 hours of sleep.
Make sure you try and take the relevant breaks at work and try not to get stressed, this is not good.
Are you eating well. if not this effects how you feel, you mention fizzy drinks in one post...ever heard of sugar crashes!! high sugar drinks and foods will cause an insulin rush thus putting you on a low.
Read some of the previous post on What Foods, should give you a start.

i dont have sugary drinks or sweets etc... sometimes I feel at a low as if I dont get enough though and usually result to chocolate.
8 hours... :0 I currently average 4-6 because I dont like going to bed until my eyes feel tired.
That is something I need to address for sure.

8 hours slep is definately the benchmark, 4-6 is pretty low and I know how that feels (9week old baby )
I bet you feel like cat-napping mid afternoon I know I do .
Two things you need to focus on.
1) as Paul said, check the other posts and workout how much you should be eating and how often(5-6 small meals every 2-3hours - some meals can be replaced by sugary fruit like bananas to remove the craving which turns you to chocolate ) If you get stuck, shout and I'll take you through it
2) Do not eat anything heavy or sugary or any drinks which have caffeine and sugar in after 7pm. This should help relax the brain a bit allowing you to hopefully switch off. Now it sounds a bit but try a nice hot soapy bath with relaxing oils , try a bit of head massage with your partner - if your lucky sex too
Sugar(simple carbs) loaded foods (chocolate, sweets, fizzy drinks etc) will suppress your appetite. But this is only a short term fix. Within the hour you will be wanting another 'hit'. By replacing the sugary foods with something like a potato, sandwich(brown bread), pasta based meal this will release good sugars(complex carbs) into your boody at a far slower rate meaning you shouldn't get the craving so early. THey will also be a far better form of energy and should stop you wilting during the day.

try this site www.extrememuscle.co.uk/ i bought a 5lb tub of comlex carbs to help me with the same problem.very cheap,easy to take and i think its effective to.
