Default Women's fitness and weightloss!

Hey,

Cool room! Had a good look through and read some good advice!

But.....

I've noticed no girls have posted in here yet so i thought i'd me the first! And see if anyone can help me!

I'm trying to lose about 10lb to 14lb (not too much) but want to lose it from the right areas i.e. stomach, legs, bum, not boobs lol etc... usual female problems lol!

Over the last couple of months i've lost 10lb for holiday but the lbs are slowly creeping back on due to me being slack!

On a good day i will have

Breakfast - Cearal

Lunch - low calorie sandwich or pasta, packet of Snack a jacks and a drink

Dinner - jacket potato with chilli con carine with low fat cheese!

But i still find i get hungry in between! and get very tempted by bad things as i do love my food!

I was going down the gym once or at a push twice a week, working on the treadmill and cross trainer with some weights after. At the moment i am doing a LBT class once (but will be going twice) a week which is very good as i am trying to tone those areas.

How does this sound to you health and fitness guys!

Is there anything else i could do either diet or fitness.

By the way i'm a lazy cow so nothing tooo heavy please lol!

Babe you need to cut out as much bread and apsta as possible. It's all stoge food.

I'm the same as you. I want to be stick thin and keep my boobs. I brought a gym ball but need to geta video as to how to do the right exercise on it.

I find when I get peckish in between I drink water and lime. it detoxis you and flushes your body out. Your stomach needs to shrink inside. It's hard but if your determined it can be done.

cool nice one babe! I'll try the water and lime!

I've tried cutting out bread but it didn't really do much!

I lost 10lb by doing a weight watchers type diet which is great as i can still eat things that i like! May carry on trying with that and see how i get on!

Its a shame you don't live or work closer babe as we could be gym buddies lol!

Hello Ladies, you do seem to be doing anything wrong from a diet point of view. Short of living off celery sticks and tomato juice, anything more strict and I think you'll go mad. I always believe that its got to be easy and enjoyable and part of your lifestyle otherwise youl never stick with it.

What I will say is this. Whatever form of exercise you do and wether its 3,4 or 5 times a week just make sure that each time you do it for long enough (an hour is optimal as they say your body doesn't start burning fat until 15-20mins after starting exercise) and at a good intensity. Don't be afraid to get a good sweat on and get your heartrate up (ohhh errrr ), that way not only will you be burning fat, you will also be improving your health and fitness.

THey say with moderate exercise you should still be able to hold a conversation, but this is what I think they tell middle aged, pot bellied beer swillers so they don't have heart attacks. If you young and are in good health don't be afraid to push a little bit harder each time you go. Maybe also set yourself small targets so you keep improving.

I like the sound of that

I tried changing my diet overnight to cut out all the crap and like Paul said it doesnt work as you lose intrest, however i still managed to cut out sugar, butter, chocolate, crisps, fizzy drinks (including beer), and i can still eat things i like although i think if i want the weight to come down more it would take some hard work, I have a really slow metabolism and i just cant eat 5-6 small meals a day as hard as i try i cant do it, at the minute i dont bother with breakfast at 4:30am just a cuppa, perhaps make a couple of sandwhich's for breaks at work 8:25+11am, perhap's a bowl of cereal when i get home at 3pm and then have an evening meal about 8:30pm
Matt, I'm not a breakfast person either. I can't face food first thing so I have a glass of milk and then drive to work. About 1-2 hours after waking is when I actually fancy something, so I have something then. The milk just keeps me going and gives a little bit of protein.
