Default Training and feeling grumpy?

Been doing some proper training since january for the tough mudder event in edinburgh in august! Ive noticed that sometimes i can get a bit short tempered and grumpy lol after reading one of stevenbm's posts on here last night he mentioned he got a bit grumpy as well and it got me thinking lol maybe the reason im a bit of a grump is because of the training im doing and im generally just tired! i travelled offshore last tuesday and hit the gym straight away and today is the first day ive had off! im getting my 8 hours a night and having 3-4 phd protein shakes along with 3 meals a day so do you think im maybe overtraining and not having enough off days? my body doesnt feel sore and i feel like i could have just went to the gym again today as normal! This trip ive been doing some weights as well as my usual cardio stuff and total body workouts!

Id say your overtraining mate.planned rest days are essential.dont wait till you feel knackered before resting.i hate taking days off but as they say you grow outside the gym.

Yeh I can imagine it would be hard off shore.even on your rest days do some cardio and abs.will make you feel like you have been working out but not to taxing to drain your energy.
