If you do one thing right, it will be acting upon what i tell you now.
The first 6-12 weeks of serious, structured weight training will give you great gains, you need to take advantage. Do this by eating like a mad man. To grow, your body needs nutrients. Nutrients are found in food.
EAT EVERYTHING YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON.
I mean eat until you feel ill, every meal. Have a tablespoons of olive oil with every meal. Eat a meal at 8/9pm.
Honestly, dont worry about what you are eating other than trying to eat as much fish/eggs/meat as possible.
Eat chocolate if you like, eat cake, eat pizza, eat everything thats dense in calories.
Obviously, you are going to gain some fat but at 10 stone i dont think you need to worry about that, you must look like a heroin addict.
As for training, learn the exercises using youtube etc... if you can go to the gym 5 times a week then do it, if not, do it 3 times.
Work EVERY muscle. Back, legs, chest, shoulders, triceps, biceps.
Once you know the movement and have got a good technique, go heavy. As heavy as you can for 6-8 reps. This will build overall strength and size which you need to move bigger weights which will make your muscles grow. You'll never get strong doing 4 sets of 15 reps etc...
Treat arms as the least important workout, if you have to miss a day or are in a rush, then miss out arms. Arms get his to some extent every day, back day, chest day, shoulder day.
Don't piss around, you are single, probably look like shit, people probably laugh at you, girls won't look twice.
Sign up to a gym that's easy to get to, make it as easy as possible to get motivated for.
NO FUCKING EXCUSES like 99% of people who join a gym then go for a month and fuck it off because they are pathetic lazy bastards.
Register on a good bodybuilding forum, yeah you might not want to be a bodybuilder and you wont wake up one day looking like one, don't worry but those guys know more about training and diet and getting big than anyone else. More than the faggot "personal trainers" in the leisure centres will ever know.
On that note, dont get sucked in to paying for a trainer, go online and learn for yourself.
I've just wrote a massive reply for you here so be greatful and DON'T BE A CUNT AND MAKE ME HAVE WASTED MY TIME. Make sacrifices, put your mind to it, train hard, eat big, rest well. Listen to Coldo! Funny as fuck but spot on!! Eat loads and lift heavy! You never see a musclular marathon runner. Big people are not built for stamina! low reps with a heavy ass weight.
Defo stay away from roids. I know it was intended as a joke but you would be surprised the amount of people who think its the answer. Its a downward spiral imho.
Also, my take on shakes, yes they are supposed to be a suppliment to an already decent diet but they can be used to good effect on being the main stay of that diet. I don't eat farms full of chickens or 3 cows a week but I seem to do OK on shakes. I would say thats how I have built my mass tbh. Like a good hooker, just get in in you! When you dont want to eat or feel sick, man the fuck up and get the food or shake in your gut!

Well did it joined today
Went with a mate who has been doing it 5 years so he helped me
Did chest and arms just to get me back into it,fuck me im sore now

Fairplay to ya bud, i used to train hard when i was 18. Had a nasty motorbike accident so i stopped.
I am now 31 and pissed off with the gut, still got some of my frame so all i am doing now is training as hard as i possibly can and in the 6 weeks i have noticed a good difference.
If you feel you aint gaining nothing take pictures of yourself front back and both sides once a month and then compare. Its very easy not to see a difference in yourself which can cause the cant be botheredness to keep it up.

Nice 1 mate im going to stick it out need to do something after work you see
Also will make me cut down on getting pissed up which im doing far to much of

A good tip I got from a friend with a degree in sports and human biology. Work your legs!! Your legs contain some of the biggest muscles in your body and getting them worked will release growth hormones which will aid building muscles in the rest of the body.

keep going mate - i never really spent much time in the gym and am only 12stone but cant seem to put anymore on - no matter how much i eat or how many pints i drink. I have a spare tyre too which i need to get rid and build up some mass.

Nice one bud stick in at the gym.Keep lookong on the net for different exercises.Dont keep doing the same exercises. I do my exercises nice and slow cause it seems to work for me.I love aching cause i know ive done a good job at the gym.
My mrs joined the gym in april and for the past 3 months she hasnt been.I know she has been busy but she could make time to go.
