Default Diet

Just looking for some diet tips really? Have seen a few things about 1g of protein per lbs of body mass and to be honest that means fuck all to me?

This year I've broke my leg and ankle so was sat on my arse for quite a while and put some beef on, ive not been slim for a few years now and currently 88kg and 5,11

I have a gym membership and go a couple of times a week just some cardio and a few weights either followed by a swim n sauna or a walk to cool down.

I can go to the gym any time I want and any day of the week so that doesn't hold me back also have a PT session to use soon so would like to have a idea of what I should be doing and sort my diet out before this.
Might keep this up dated with pics just to keep track of it all.

So to some it up...

Diet tips, what I should be eating and how much? Also how often?

Supplements? What would you recommend? Are they worth it?

Is there any training I should be doing specifically to loose weight?

Also has anyone used jack3d? My mate is using it pre workout.

Thanks in advance
Mark

i guess nobody has answered this because you need to state what you are trying to achive. as the diet and training for each is different.
as a very rougth guide
lose fat = low carb diet, plenty of fasting cardio exercise
build muscle = lots of carbs fats and protein, ie the 1 to 1 weight protein
strength and speed = a mixture of both.
unfortunately everybody burns calories and the body reacts differently to training progams, so you need to find a diet and exercise program that suits you.

The weight might sound fine but I. Stuck with this belly that has proved a fucker to shift for the past few years, I've got skinny legs, skinny wrists but then I've always had a 40" chest and 16" neck.

I wouldn't mind bulking up a little but would really would prefer to do it for health gains and so my clothes fit me properly.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!

If you can do 25 without stopping you should be doing weighted ones or more weight.

also you cannot spot reduce fat, this is not my opinion, this is fact.

You can build the muscle and keep the same body fat % , you jsut end up with a 6 pack covered in flab.

Compund excersises that do the whole core and DIET to reduce body fat % then once youve lost a lot of the flab you can start concentrating on individual muscle definition.

One thing that is TOTALLY pointless is "going on a diet"

The only way to lose weight and actually keep it off is a lifestyle change.

I lost 1.5 stone in 6 weeks a couple of years ago because I decided to see how much weight I could lose in 6 weeks just for something to do (was exercising a lot more too as well as the diet), but because at the end of that period I then went back to eating and (not) exercising exactly as per before, I am predictably now exactly the same weight again as I was before the diet/exercise regime.
