Angry major problem doing weights! arm goes so tired so quickly?

ive been out of the gym for 2 years now due to several problems, i started doing some weights last week on the dumbells, i can do about 3x reps of 30 on my right arm but after that my arm goes so dead / very weak and i cant lift it anymore after that???

any ideas what the problem is??? it also happens when im using the barbell curls as well with my right arm!

i never used to have this problem?? my body weight is 100kg just under 16 stone.

obvioulsy your muscles have wasted away,if you cant do 8 reps your going too heavy, drop the weight keep good form (which is most important) and in a few weeks you will build back up again

Could be one arm is weaker, as you use the other a lot more daily job depending etc, so do some work on your arms to strengthen them up. It could also be your body telling you, you are over training.

The simple answer is: Too much too soon.

You've had time off so back to the begining. The advantage you have though it that it will all come back quicker for you as you were there before.

Good luck.

Totally agree, I have had to back off massively due to 3 years off. It was actually depressing wandering into my gym witha 3yr old printout and finding I couldnt even get the weight off teh stand.

I had to start again and create a new set of routines that I can rep out with good form and things like my Dumbell curl had to come down from 28K to 12!

But after 1 month back in the gym and dedicated I am already back up to failing after 4 reps at 20KG. Thank god for muscle memory. LOL
