You could get oat's from the supermarket for porridge etc but they are not fine enough for drinking unless you can use a blender to make them finer..

My protein sell them already blended and ready to mix with a protein power or what ever you fancy..

Also just having oats is NOT going to make you big, your whole diet will need looking at and also your gym routine.

Take a look on muscletalk.co.uk

Oats are ok for bulking up. Eating a load more oats will give you loads more cals but tbh... i'd rather get the cals from protein where possible, to try and avoid fat gain as much as i can.

So, if i was you i'd try and get the extra calories from lean meat aswell as oats and carbs. i.e. add in another 500-700cals a day but make those cals up from 60%/30%/10% in terms of protein/carbs/fat.

I found thats mixing 100grams of instant oats in with each shake gave me a noticeable stamina increase when boxing and filled me up. I really rate oats TBF.

Oats are a brilliant slow release carb. I dont know the science behind it but you dont need as much protein as everyone bangs on about as your body cant process more than a certain amount every hour so it just goes to waste. Carbs help with transporting oxygen in the body, as in the help produce something that promotes more oxygen in the blood and ups energy levels, without it is like strangling ur body in energy terms.

For bulking you want your carbs' to be one and a half to twice the protein. So if you needed 300 grams of protein a day, take in 600 grams of carbs and taper this down to around 450 grams depending on if your putting too much fat on.
