Help please with my exercise plan (stopped losing weight)
Hi folks
After being inspired by some of the posts on here I got my fat backside into the gym a few months ago.
I was 17 3/4 stone when I started and am now 16 1/4 but for the last few weeks have not droped any more.
This is what I am doing and I am thinking maybe time for a change,
Exercise,
4 Days a week - treadmill, no incline, alternating between speed 5 (of 12) for 30 seconds and speed 10 for 90 seconds. When I started this I was doing 15 minutes but I am now doing 1 hour and according to the calorie counter burning approx 600 calories
2 Days a week - all over weights - Basically I spend an hour doing 3 x 10 reps of each of the machines in the gym
1 Day a week - 5-10 mile bike ride
Diet,
I pretty much keep to the same every day,
Breakfast - 3 x wetabix and a small spoon of syrup
mid morning - pack of snack a jacks and piece of fruit
Lunch - Chicken or tuna/sweetcorn sandwich
mid afternoon - nuts
Dinner - Stir fry with chicken, mushrooms, peppers, onions, brown noodles and 2 x pita bread
Supper - 1 pack of snack a jacks or baguel with peanut butter
I am also taking 3 x fat metabiliser tablets a day as these contain green tea and I can not stomach dinking the stuff
Any advice most welcome

Everyone comes to a plateau(sp) at some stage and its a case of mixing it up a bit to break through it.
What i would suggest is changing your treadmill programme first of all.
Try setting it at an incline - high enough that you feel your calves burning a bit but not too silly that you are holding on for dear life! Set the speed at about 6km/h - so you are walking at a fast pace but not quite a jog. Your heart rate should be about 55-70% of your max.
Do this for 1hr at a time. At least give it a go next gym time and see how it feels.
As for your diet, it looks ok but for fat loss i think you are taking in too many carbs. Try something like the below;
Breakfast - 3 x wetabix and a small spoon of syrup
mid morning - (Tuna/sweetcorn/mayo with salad)
Lunch - Chicken or tuna/sweetcorn sandwich
mid afternoon - nuts
Dinner - Stir fry with chicken, mushrooms, peppers, onions (drop the noodles and pita's - substitute for more chicken! or make an ommelette - 1 whole egg and 3 whites, dice it up and mix in)
Supper - (way to high carb for later on at night - perfect substitute is a tub of cottage cheese with 1tbsp of peanut butter - and/or a couple of boiled egg whites)
It looks pretty grim (your diet at the moment looks tasty!) but i would try it for 2/3 weeks, see what happens.
All just suggestions, dieting is a tough one, different things work for different people.
Good luck however you go with it though!

Cheers, off to the gym shortly as working from home today so will give it a go.
Thought the noodles, pita and supper may be an issue (I have come to the conclusion that most foods I like and look foward to is bad for me)
