Default **** 1 year in pics - page 3 ****

************* UPDATED PICS ON PAGE 3 *************

Some of you know i've been losing weight for the last 6/7months, i've been taking pics to document the weight loss etc...

Havent posted any on here, I know too many people who are gonna rip the piss outta me when they see them but fuck it, i know fine i've still got a long way to go but i took a load of fresh pics yesterday and thought i'd stick em up.

November last year. I'm 21 years old, and 24.5 stones - 156kg. Fat as fvck. Wearing xxxl tops and a 46" waist, it was getting ridiculous.

So, decided on the 9th of December, I need to sort myself out, so joined the gym.

At around the same time, i signed up to an excellent bodybuilding website, sorted a diet, 6 small meals a day, 90-100mins cardio 6 times a week and one day a week full body weights workout. Over time this changed, adding in a more structured lifting pattern along with the cardio kept at 5 days a week, min 80mins.

Before - 6ft 4" - 156kg (24.5st)

As of yesterday - 6ft 4" - 109kg (17.1st) - 10inches off my waist! :laugh:

Obviously plenty of BF to lose yet and have developed a bit of loose skin on my belly but hopefully given time it will tighten up. I have a long way to go but i'm pleased at the fat i have lost and the muscle i have gained, particularly on my legs and back.

Next 7months will see me focused on lifting alot more but keeping a good cardio session in 3 days a week to control BF.

PB's;
Flat Bench 1RM: 100kg
Squat: 165kg for 6
Deadlift 1RM: 200kg as of yesterday - delighted.

Anyway, i'm going to Ibiza at 4am tomorrow morning so im gonna eat and drink like it's going out of fashion :thumb:

When i'm here, I want to say thanks to the user "BRADZ" who has a similar - but better! thread about his weight loss, which inspired me a hell of a lot, i still look at his pics now and then, inspirational stuff.

Thats top fucking drawer progress mate... your progress is as good as Bradz' progress if you take into consideration that he's had an extra 17 months training between his Before/After pics on here, IIRC it was 2 years between pics on his thread? (I might be wrong..)

What bodybuilding website did you join?? Be interested to have a nosey at it myself, see what sort of diet tips etc are there since I'm currently a similar body shape and build as you were at the beginning.

Pictures like this are a massive inspiration to people like me who are at the beginning of the same road, because like I'm sure you know, at the start it seems like such a big hill to climb to get to your current stage.

Cheers,
Grant

Thanks all.
Comments are much appreicated - keeps me motivated.

As for how i done/am doing it - willpower. I never knew it before but i have bags of it really, dedicated myself to the gym and a clean diet and i haven't looked back to be honest.

I eat 6x a day, small meals, regular intervals.
Train 6 days a week, sometimes 7. Cardio sessions lasting a minimum of 80mins sometimes up to 110 mins.

I have one cheat afternoon/evening on a saturday where i eat whatver i want - chips, chocolate, fizzy juice, fried food, crisps, kebabs etc etc. This keeps me sane and kicks my metabolism up a notch as it tries to burn it all up. Very valuable part of the week imo.

Staple foods that i eat everyday are eggs, chicken breast, tuna fish and cous cous. Plenty of steamed veg and about 3L of water/green tea aswell.

My diet generally it looks like this;

08:00 - 3 egg ommelette and 40g oats in milk
10:00 - protein bar of sorts and 1 boiled egg
12:30 - 80g cous cous with 200g chicken
14:30 - Banana and tin of tuna
17:30 - Gym - 90-100mins cardio
19:30 - 200g chicken, boiled egg and loads of steamed veg

I dont eat meals with my family anymore as i prepare all my own food, they are all fit/dont need to lose weight so can eat what they want and they do, in perfect moderation. I've had to chop it for chicken breasts and steamed veg, 6 nights a week - Its not easy

Thanks again folks.

godz - what's the score with eggs? Are they advisable? Or only after weight loss as they seem to be quite fatty?

As Colin says mate......keep to the whites! In my hardcore days I was doinf 8 eggs in the morning, I would have 6 whites and the other 2 complete as the yolk has some great vit B's in there.

The thing to always remember is how Arnold got looking so good in the 70's. There was no protien powders, no creatine and only a handfull of steroids. So the only way he got big was to stick to the basics......egg whites, chicken breast, steak, turkey, fish and nuts. He would also have a big side dish of salad. Very high intake of water and has admitted to using only 15-20mg of Dianabol a day, then mid 70's using an injectable once a week although nobody really knows what shot he was doing, some suspect Deca, others say Primo.

Keep to basic clean foods like Coldo, train hard with the basics (deadlifts, dips, bench, barbell curls, chins, squats, shoulder press etc) and you will change in no time

Fantastic result mate,

Quick question,

Quote "Train 6 days a week, sometimes 7. Cardio sessions lasting a minimum of 80mins sometimes up to 110 mins"

What Cardio are you doing? As a fat git I am starting to try and do the same

Todays workout for example;

10min warmup - Rowing Machine

40mins - Cross Trainer - Kilamanjaro profile (uphill for 40mins)

50mins - Treadmill - walking for 7mins at 6.5km/h at a 12% incline then running at 11km/h for 3mins at 2%incline, then repeat those intervals x5.

7mins cooldown - bike - heart rate down at 110bpm max for as much of it as poss.

90mins i count that as, with 17mins warmups/cooldowns.
