Default New to all this

Going to join a gym in a few days anyone know of good ones in south oxford area? Im 21 weigh around 11 stone and look really thin. Im going to do alot of cardio to get my stamina up as i play football a lot, but i also wanna get good size and shape in my upper body(poser i know). But thats what im after any advice would be appreciated?

think of it as a triangle,

diet
sleep
lifting

what sorta things do you want to no? diet? rountine?

Yeah a basic routine that will give me good definition. Looking to go 4 times a week. The best way to that is thru diet aswell alot of chicken high protein so i believe?

yeah carbs like pasta etc before workout and protein like chicken etc after, have a look on www.bodybuilding.com as theres loads of different routines and will be easyier than me explaining.

OK cheers mate. Got no problem with altering my diet as long as it doesnt involve fish or eggs!

If you are naturally skinny and plan to do lots of cardio you will really struggle to put on size without eating stupid amounts of good quality food.

If you just want to tone up on top then a reasonable weights program along side the cardio should see some initial gains.

Be wary of overtraining from lack of sleep/food etc as doing too much will burn you out after a coupl eof weeks. Have at least a couple of days off a week.
