Whens the best time to take Protein Shakes ?
#2
Protein helps the muscles recover/build so anytime is good but basically when your body needs it most. Like before you go to bed, first thing in the morning and after training. Low points for your bodily system when it cannot absorb protein from other foods or beofre/after long periods of food intake.

i have a shake in the morning, eat lots of chicken/tuna meals through the day, then a shake after the gym.
i stopped taking a shake before i went to bed as it hindered my sleep, i was waking up horribly bloated and needing a piss lol
havent noticed any 'decline' in weight gain since re-shuffling the times of my protein intake.

its easy to 'say' 4 shakes a day is what you should have, but you feel permanently full/bloated. it's best to get a good amount of protein from food intake, not purely from shakes. your permanently walking round with a big pregnant belly and burps that taste of fake strawberry lol

Fuck having that many, I have one after a workout and eat alot of chicken and fish between workouts for 'proper protein'. Seems to work fine.

try and get as much of your protein from proper food ( chicken, steak, eggs etc) only use the shakes as a supplement, not a replacement, the only time i take a protein shake is immediately after a workout, as this is a time when your body will absorb the protein most efficiently.
Before bed try and take some sort of slow release protein and some essential fatty acids to keep ur muslces fueled during the night, casein found in milk/cottage cheese is a perfect example of a slow release protein, and for your EFA's try either peanut butter or whole raw peanuts.

www.monstersuppliments.co.uk (or .com) ? Some of my friends use them but I go to Holland & Barrett when they have their sales on. Usually half price so I get double
