Newbie FRST 240bhp
just thought i'd say hi to everyone.tried looking at different forums and passionford is the bollox!
anyway i've had my fez a couple of weeks now, some will recognise it ( especially rob !! ) it's a fantastic car that's been looked after superbly. i'm just itching to drive it all the time but the weather's crap!! anyway here are a few pics and maybe i'll see some people at the shows come summertime ( why did i start singing like will smith when i wrote summertime !!! )

these are the mods the car has
engine:
lightened and balanced bottom end
low compression 0.5mm oversize pistons
high pressure oil pump
gas flowed and polished big valve head
high lift cam
iski springs
hybrid t2
beige injectors
superchip
pace alloy radiator
charge cooler
scorpion stainless exhaust
k@n induction kit
rgs dump valve
Brakes:
300mm xdrilled discs
billet 4pot calipers
rear xdrilled disc conversion
Suspension:
AVO coilovers fully adjustable
that's about all i can think of at the mo, there's probably a few bits missing.

i've just had it set up on the rollers a few weeks back and it made 205bhp @ the wheels @ 16psi
i'm guessing that's about 230 at the flywheel ?
the turbo was built to order by the previous owner and he ran it at 21 psi with no probs so it should be fine at 16psi. have you had trouble with t2's then? it spins up nice and quick anyway, much better than my previous ERST's.

yeah it's still not allowed to come out in the rain, so i should be putting it in. maybe change the wheels before then but the bodywork is staying standard ( apart from the smoked sides and rear lights already on).
gonna be a few hours underneath polishing i reckon beforehand
can't wait for the summer

yeah think he only did 30 miles or summat silly, but then again with a 400bhp cossie and an rx-7 he wouldn't have been desperate to use it
it's only done about 2-3k in the last 4 or 5 years
i don't need it as an everyday car but i'll use it more than he did.

very clean and smart looking fiesta
red frsts are the fastest
it cant be no ordinary hybrid T2 to get that kind of power output, and especially when using a 195 superchip.
obviously the high lift cam and chargecooler help alot but still sounds a bit much for those mods.
u run in at pod yet?>

hi the previous owner said the turbo was made to order by turbo technics, but i have no idea of the exact spec. it's just a well set up car with the right mods i guess. it gives 185bhp@wheels at just 12psi so at 16psi it's flying. think i'm at the limit fuelling wise so when the summer comes i may need to source new injectors, pressure regulator and fuel pump but for the winter it's plenty as it is. not ran it at the pod yet but i'm guessing low 14's maybe a 13. did my best trying 0-60mph with the videocamera and managed 5.7 so far.

if thats all it's got then your doing well to get 180bhp
seen similar spec cars that can't manage 160bhp!
with the mods i have i reckon i only see the benefits higher up the rev range when running more boost.as it's still only a 1.6 you don't benefit at lower boost pressure (10-12psi) like you would with a 1.9 or zvh, where you'd see a lot more power at that boost.but when you start winding it to 16 or more then you get the benefit of the high lift cams and chargecooler and all of the other mods i have.just depends how happy you are with your power cos a frst with 165bhp goes like sh*t off a shovel
