i need a new box for my rsi... she is under a fuild rebuild and the box is destroyed..

does anyone know where i can get one... north-east
or what gearbox is suitable... i need all the help i can get boys... thanx very much...

Theres a place called GEARS in Southport who do reconditioned RSi boxes on an exchange basis

its been rebuilt once, the casing is fucked me m'8 hlpd me 2 take it out and when he lifted it out he dropped from a gr8 height tryin 2 be clever and smashed all the casing when i took it to commercial-propshafts the said the layshaft was twisted and whoever rebuilt it didn't replace the right bearings and the one's he did were wrong........

the teeth on 2nd were sheared.

must av driven it like a bastard !!!! i hate people who dont appreciate modern history ha ha ha how much do u think im gna hav 2 pay. i dnt hav an exchange now !!! sold it to commercial props' for £ 50 he wanted gthe internals.

but i still hav the diff if u kbnow anyone that wants 1 !

Mustve dropped it from quite a height

Give GEARS a ring and see how much, be prepared for a shock because theyre gonna add a surcharge whatever the price is (about £500) if you havent got a box in exchange

The only other thing i could suggest (though i wouldnt recommend it) is to get a good second hand S1 RS turbo box, and get someone to machine a hole for the flywheel sensor in the bellhousing, but it'll have to be spot on other itll never run

i have a second hand gearbox if you want to come to barnsley for it you can have it for a 150 quid i will also chuck in the gearbox sensor. .. pm me and i will give you my number...

its running on a dizzy does that mean i wont need the flywheel sensor ???

and can i put a s1 box in then ?

If its running on a dizzy and coil you can fit an S1 gearbox in and it'll still run, but the Twin coil setup is way better than the dizzy

matt, why the coils. how much are the box's iv bin offered one for 150 notes in good nick with the sensor
