Default RS2000 4x4 Drive Train

Whats the RS2000 4x4 Drive Train Power Split?
Is it 50/50 to front and back or more to the front or rear?
Whats the max brake horse power the drive train can take before it spits it's dummy?
Cheers Rich

i think its 60/40 in favour of the front, i have one which im trying to get rid of i have it advertised on ukfordoc. some people say the drive train is weak mainly the transfere box but ive had no probs with mine so far although it is only 158bhp. i think 200 would be the limit of the standard gear although im not 100% sure,

its 60 to the back not front. They're not that weak if maintained properly i.e not launched at 6000revs, transfer box oil changed regularly and not towed on 2 wheels.
I wouldn't like to say the max it can take, there was a 4x4 turbo running 300bhp on rs2000-16v forum at one point without trouble. The transfer box was uprated thought to pump the oil round better though.

I've never driven one myself, does it drive say like a 4x4 Sapp? So you can still hang the arse out with 60% power to the back?

its very difficult to spin the wheels on the rs2k 4x4 but in the wet if you give it enough beans it does go

You can't really get the arse out with the power, there just not enough. Going round round abouts for example in the wet you kinda get the arse out a litttle but as soon as your back on the power its strightens up quick.

Good fun in the snow though you really notice the 60/40 split then & good fun on the windy country road to, they feel like you can throw them into a corner at any speed without worrying about having to hang on for your life on the way out!

Not sure how it compares to the saph 4x4 as I've never driven one of those.
