Hi folks, right I have noticed a strong smell of petrol coming from my rs16i as I am driving along. I have stopped the car lifted the bonnet and I can’t find any leaks or smell it, it only seams to smell when being driven. It isn’t a continua’s smell it comes and goes but it smells more than it doesn’t. As any one else encountered a problem like this? I need to get it sorted ASAP as I use the car everyday and the smell is making me feel sick. Any info would be much appreciated.

Check all the fuel lines front to back while the engine is running, you'll spot the leak a mile off if there is one

Just cos you smell it when driving, doesn't mean the leak is from the front Mark. I had a small leak on my Vec tank and could smell that inside when driving. As you drive, the air coming in is circulating and will bring any smells with it..hence why you may think it's from the front when in fact it has come from the back and whirled around.
