Cosworth Non-runner 2wd sapphire (project)
Ok going to sell my project as I've basically not got the time or interest to complete.
I bought the car as a non runner (alarm problem clifford). Had it by-passed by a proffesion.
Put the car in for an MOT, it passed on the second attempt. After replacing a couple of ABS sensors, CV boot, wipers.
Found the clutch slipped and stem seals smoked. So have removed the engine. Split head and block and this is about as far as I got to sorting it.
Also found a rust patch on one of the rear struts which has put me off abit.
It has a rusty Battery tray and one of the arches is also rusty + abit along a rear door window, but I knew abot this already.
Car spec is as follows
Moonstone blue
about 118,000 (will check)
T34
greens
3bar map sensor
water temp/ oil temp/ pressure gauge.
4x4 bonnet
17 inch wheels
Koni rear dampers
Sony stereo
The car is complete at the moment (bar engine on the floor
)and would rather not get into breaking it as I haven't got the time.
Would be a good project for somebody who has the time to get stuck in
Heres a pic of it after it passed it MOT (you can see the rust arch). Its now been a sat in a garage for about a month!
I will also include a spare 205 complete bottom end + spare inlet and exhaust manifolds.
