Up for sale is my series one rs turbo. I've only had it around 6-7weeks but I need a cossie again lol
The car has 11 months mot and is in lovely condition but it's not a concours winner. I've done around 600miles in it and it has been perfect. Every time I've been to a petrol station people have came over and commented on how clean and nice it looks.
A bit of history of the car
The previous owner bought the car in 2007 in the condition it's in and used the car on weekends and attending shows for nearly 2 yrs and covered around 3000 miles in it. Unfortunately due to family problems the car was put into storage after ford fair 2008 and left there until a few weeks ago when I bought it.
The mileage is 124,000 which I believe to be genuine as I have lots of paper work and mots to back this up. It had a restoration around 2005 inc new front wings and all 4 floor pans. There is no rust or rot anywhere! The restoration was not done professionally but has been done well by an rsoc member. It is near standard with spax shocks and springs, chip, magnex exhaust, pro alloy front mount cooler and a few polished bits in the engine bay. It is running 15psi peak boost and has a rolling road printout of 176bhp
The engine had a rebuild on 97k and the turbo was rebuilt 98k and therefore have only done around 25k. It's has an up rated GEARS gearbox with rerated LSD, heavy duty bearings and cost £700
The interior is very very clean and the front seats I would say are concours condition. The dash is uncracked but some idiot had fitted a pod mount to the top of the dash leaving some screw holes visible now. There is a ford racing boost gauge and water temp gauge in the dash centre vent.
A couple of things I've found wrong are the standard temp gauge doesn't work and the paint has cracked in a couple of places in the engine bay and on the doors. Wrong tint glass in front doors
I price the car at £6495 ono
I've seen what others s1's are for sale and feel you can not buy a cleaner car than this for that money.
Any questions please ask

I was out in the car Saturday and on the way home I got stuck in traffic jam and the turbo started to puff a little when been sitting and then pulling away. So I've reduced the price to £5750 for quick sale as I've got other cars need attending to

I've had around 10 people arrange to view the car (about 30 if include eBay wasters) and only 1 person has actually turned up to look at it! unfortunately he wanted a cleaner one
It is a very clean example but it has been restored by an enthusiast and it is not a concours car. It seems to be most people expect a concours car for sub 6k and I'm afraid that's not going to happen EVER! I've had messages asking for pictures of pop rivets and silly things like that to see if it's still original.
If you want a concours car go spend 10k on one, if you want one you can go for a drive out at the weekends in and attend shows during the summer then come buy this one.
I've decided not to buy another money pit cossie now so if it doesn't sell I'll just use it next summer.
Anyone wanting to view the car can RING me on 07554667588. I will not reply to texts or any more pm's about the car as these people seem to have no interest in looking and just waste my time
