Mk1 Cortina 2.9 V6 1964
Here we have my 2 door Mk1 Cortina 1964 in lovely condition.
The car is running a fuel injected 2.9 V6 engine (roughly 170bhp), Type 9 5 Speed gearbox with quickshift and alloy bellhousing, 2 piece prop, Narrowed Atlas axle fitted with a LSD and Tramp bars, Capri 2.8 front and rear brakes, Bilstein front suspension, Spax rear, Adjustable TCA's, Anti roll bar, Rack and pinion steering benefiting from power steering, Alloy radiator, Wilwood master cylinder and remote servo, front and rear strut braces.
Paintwork is Alcuda Blue with a satin black stripe and silver pinstripe in lovely condition. The car is not fitted with front or rear bumpers as I prefer the look but they are included in the sale but could do with being re chromed.
Wheels are Weller Lotus reps in 13x7 with hubcaps fitted with 185/60 tyres which fill the arches very well.
The interior is fitted with a GT dash, all gauges work. A modern rev counter has been fitted in place of the old one. The front Recaro seats have been re-trimmed in black vinyl with pleats to match the original interior. They look period and are very comfortable.
The Cortina has a couple months MOT left (will be sold with a full year) and benefits from free road tax.
Everything works as it should and is a nice car for a Sunday drive, smooth ride for a 50 year old car. I have been using the car daily in the nice weather and turns heads wherever it goes. The V6 sounds awesome, almost like a race V8! Being fuel injected it is perfect for a daily vehicle for the summer, will happily cruise at 80mph.
Selling due to I fancy another Mk1 Escort or something interesting. try me!
One of the pictures I have removed the hubcap, I think this look suits the car better. Bit of a period race car look.
Any viewing is welcome, located in Oban 100 miles west of Glasgow. Can assist with collection from the local bus/train station.
Any questions feel free to ask, Iain 0782 7443752
£10,500 or a deal with something interesting
Cheers,auld

The plan if it doesn't sell it to fire a YB in it over the winter and possibly loose the stripe or paint it alan mann colours.
Will see what happens!
