2000 BMW E46 330d SE Touring
BMW E46 330d SE Touring, 5 speed manual
179,000 miles approx. (Currently lower but i'm still using the car)
Owned and maintained by me since December 2010
2 previous owners before that and an inch thick history folder showing everything it ever had - including a clutch and replacement inlet manifold at around 100,000 miles.
I serviced it less than 2500 miles ago with:
Oil, Air, Fuel & Pollen Filters
Oil change
Fuel system treatment
I do a mixture of town and motorway driving and would describe my driving style as 'relatively spirited' and I normally see around 41 mpg average across a tank of fuel.
Features - As listed from the last 7 VIN numbers:
S411A - Window lifts,electric,front/rear
S473A - Armrest front
S520A - Fog lights
S550A - On-board computer
S832A - Battery in luggage compartment
S853A - Language version English
S210A - Dynamic stability control
S249A - Multifunction f steering wheel
S255A - Sports leather steering wheel
S302A - Alarm system
S354A - Green windscreen, green shade band
S386A - Roof railing
S428A - Warning triangle and first aid kit
S431A - Interior mirror with automatic-dip
S438A - Fine wood trim
S441A - Smoker package
S470A - Isofix-System
S481A - Sports seat
S494A - Seat heating driver/passenger
S502A - Headlight cleaning system
S508A - Park Distance Control (PDC)
S521A - Rain sensor
S522A - Xenon Light
S534A - Automatic air conditioning
S662A - Radio BMW Business CD
S692A - Preparation, BMW 6-CD changer I-bus
Additional features
*Genuine BMW M-Sport front bumper
*Towbar and twin electrics for caravan/trailer
*Parrot RKi8400 Bluetooth handsfree kit and stereo head unit
*Pioneer 10" Subwoofer powered by Alpine monoblock amp in a stealth box between spare wheel and boot hard liner. No intrusion into boot space.
*Wood effect trim replaced with silver and wood effect gearknob replaced with genuine BMW leather / illuminated M version.
*Replica CSL wheels fitted with winter tyres
I still have the original BMW Business CD head unit and mounting cage, the original spare wheel cover layer and the original wood effect trim and gearknob which will all be included in the sale.
The car has been phenomenal in the time i've had it, and eats up the miles effortlessly. It has only ever let me down once in 3 and a half years when the water pump seized at around 150,000 miles. Needless to say, it was replaced along with all auxiliary drive belts and viscous fan coupling.
It's a pet hate of mine when people say that a car is 'mint', and this one isn't, it's 14 years old and represents that - so here's the list of things I would consider 'wrong' with the car.
Spots of corrosion, not holes, just bubbling/discolouration - couple from stone chips on the bonnet, few on the A pillar, couple on the sills, worst one on the tailgate (approx 50p size).
All the wheels have kerb rash - none are buckled/bent - just grazed at the edges.
Battery in the key has gone flat for the central locking.
Drivers seat bolster leather has worn through approx 1.5" diameter area where your right hip would be.
Outside air temperature sensor doesn't always read correctly, tends to wander around more than it should.
Rear wiper motor is a bit stiff, i've stripped it and lubricated it and it has helped.
Gearbox is a little notchy when cold.
One of the rear parking sensors is a bit glitchy so sometimes you get a constant beep when you engage reverse.
Handbrake pulls up a few clicks higher than it should - I recently replaced the front brakes and purchased a full rear setup consisting of Mintex discs, pads and shoes with a fitting kit - this will all be included in the sale.
Recently performed work.
As this car has been my daily driver, i've had a fairly no nonsense approach to keeping it well maintained. I've recently (last 6 months) changed:
Front brake discs and pads
Passenger front brake caliper - was a little sticky and wearing pads unevenly
Coolant expansion bottle at the side of the radiator
Coolant plastic hard pipes under the inlet manifold
Full coolant change
Auxiliary fuel pump (under passenger seat area of the floorpan)
Boost control vacuum hoses - were looking a little perished
Tax is due to run out at the end of May and MOT runs until October.
I'm due to collect my new car on the 2nd May and so the car won't be available until a couple of days after that.
I've been incredibly honest in the description and priced it very fairly so please don't insult me with offers, if the car doesn't sell i'll quite simply keep it as a workhorse.
£1500 no offers.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Well it's currently sitting in my driveway, drove back to Scotland perfect, it got a 230 mile test drive and it was faultless, can't fault Will, it's exactly as described
Pleasure to deal with, good genuine guy
