Sierra 3dr Cosworth Replica £1000 with new RS500 style front bumper & spoiler
Right I have finally made a decision to sell the 3dr Cossie rep. This is registered as a 2.0 on the logbook so perfect for a cossie engine and less hassle in terms of dvla, etc
See the link in my resto thread for pics - you can see how it was when I picked it up & how it stands today.
It will come with all glass, panels and fibreglass bodykit.
There is no engine, gearbox, prop & front brakes.
Car will be rolling on 14" Wheels.
All lights and rubbers included.
Non sunroof models are fairly rare these days.
Has a good condition sapphire dash fitted.
There is a diff fitted but I'm not sure if it's an LSD but I can check that when I fit the 14" alloys.
Fuel tank is present too - but the car originally had a pinto fitted.
It needs a wash but I don't think the paintwork is too bad once you wash all the crap off it - it's not concourse but for a track car it's useable.
After a quick sale and will alsobe listed on eBay.
My contact number is 07930 712023.
Car is located in Slough, near junction 5 on the M4.
£1000 no offers
I have added some pics taken from my resto thread below...
Anyway here are the pics of when i got it...
There is some minor damage to the front, as when it was being transferred into this rear garden 4 years ago, the trailer had to do an emergency stop and car the rolled into the cab resulted in damaged front bumper, lightly damaged slam panel and the spare engine in the boot ended up popping the rear screen
In the garage, awaiting a raping
As its a base model you can clearly see the old blue colour these used to come in, but the car has been sprayed diamond white on the outside, doorshuts and engine bay. Engine bay has been painted with a brush but it dont look too bad.
The spare wheel well is in pretty good condition, although the pics show very light surface rust and it is missing a bung as it has started to rust through that.
A bit of work to do on the rear strut area but is not as bad as the pics show
Small bit of surface rust on the bootlid
Rear light panel has some rust but its solid behind so will be getting these areas dealt with
The passenger side floor - its solid - ignore the little surface rust by the sill
rear passenger floor
The drivers side floor - has had a plate welded in by the seat mount but is all solid so thats good news
Rears brakes...
The car has spax adjustable suspension all round - although i am unsure on the condition - I think i have a pair or front or rear konis for it (cant remember now) - these will be included in the sale.
The car has 3dr Cosworth side strips already fitted and as many of you know they are hard to get hold of and expensive!
Some pics of the car in its prime - Ade500's mate used to own it
More pics...
with my Hocks temporarily fitted (Hocks not for sale)
Underneath...
Small patch required on boot floor

Forgot to add there is a brand new Xsport Racing Fibreglass RS500 upper spoiler and a brand new fibreglass RS500 front bumper with the RS500 splitter moulded onto it.
The car came with a spare loom and im unsure what model its from but this could be a full interior cosworth loom as it did have a full 3dr cossie interior fitted. I will include this with the sale if it helps you buy the car
I also have a set of 5 Cosworth wheels in need of a refurb - no centre caps or locks though for an additional £120.
The clocks currently fitted to the car are standard 150mph clocks with a rev counter - so not Cosworth - however I have a set of Cosworth clocks i removed from my saph as the rev counter wasnt working properly so you will need to get that looked at. Again i will include this in the sale if it helps it.

The price i have listed includes spares too which i have stated above. Im sure i have more spares too but cannot remember.
Please only post if you are serious, otherwise keep your comments to yourself as this is not a discussion thread.
The cage and seats alone owe me £500 so thats a grand for a non-sunroof 3dr replica - which is cheap if you ask me.
Its not a total rot box either that requires hundreds and hundreds of pounds worth of welding.
I have a 24v engine, gearbox, prop, exhaust, loom, ecu and clocks that can go with this car but it will be another £500 on top.

Why don't you give it a good clean up with some TFR and then a quick buff with g3?it would look a million times better then and people can see the real potential with it then as it could be a cool car.

When people come to view they will see the potential for themselves. Like I said it's not concourse but perfectly useable as a track car - in fact I bet the paint is still better than a lot of road going cars.

It certainly would have gone well with a 24v and no interior
Got someone coming tonight and I'm getting a sinking feeling in my stomach as I have no idea when I will get another 3dr - it's the best looking car and the only one I have ever wanted.
Hope the new buyer will cherish it

Because I have no water or electricity where it is stored otherwise I would have done it 2 years ago lol.

Am I the only one that thinks that this is overpriced?and surely if your trying to sell as a project then clean it up can't be that hard to get some water down there and give it a wash

I'm not going too but I still consider it too much money for a cossie rep specially as its got a fibreglass kit and to be honest looks a right mess but there will be somebody out there who it it

If i could insure this, id be all over it like a rash! been looking at 3 door's for years, if it was still registered as a 1.6 id come and buy it off you tomorrow as id just chuck a 1.6 back in
Good luck with the sale mate, and i dont think it's over priced either, not when you consider what base model 3 doors sell for these days, and with this you get a lot more than a base model 1.6!
