Welcome to the auction for my Sierra Cosworth 4x4 J Reg 1991
I brought the car approx. 2 1/2 yrs years ago but it has been off the road since Nov/Dec last year (dry stored garaged). It needs some welding for MOT so it would make an ideal winter project; pref new sills. Some welding has already been done and undersealed but do not have the time to finish off. I took the car around Silverstone at Trax last year and also entered a sprint race in which the car achieved the fastest 0-60ft time of the day, thanks to the awesome launch control! Apart from this, it hasn't really been driven much. I am selling the car as I have another project to finish and have just brought a new house. Unfortunately due to all of this, the Cossie is now stored outside so a winter unoperational will not do it any good.
Mechanically the car is ok, although I cannot guarantee how long the existing clutch will have left to live! The launch control certainly reduces the lifespan! The engine is all running and its driveable but i cannot take anyone on a test drive due to no tax and MOT. Full black Recaro leather interior in reasonable condition although there are a couple of wear and tear marks including a scuff on the passenger seat. The headlining is currently missing as i removed it from the car to inspect the roof from the inside and the material came off, this will be included but not fitted.
A summary of modifications:
- 380-400bhp MSD chip and live map carried out last year (no alterations since)
- MSD anti-lag
- MSD launch control
- 55lbs Siemens injectors
- 3 bar map sensor
- Grp A Coil
- Turbosmart manual boost controller
- Gaz coil overs
- Front mount intercooler (pro black finish)
- Alloy radiator (pro black finish)
- Swirl pot (pro black auto specialists)
- Alloy header tank (pro black auto specialists)
- Breather system (pro black auto specialists)
- 3 gauge centre vent module with Boost, Volts and Oil pressure (although the oil pressure has never been connected)
- Motorsport ignition leads
- New Spark plugs
- New oil and filter
- New fuel filter
- New auxiliary belt
- Original Cosworth alloy wheels
- Silicon boost hoses
- Polybushes (majority)
- CNC Alloy sideskirt clips (cost £99 a couple of months ago)
- I also have an auto specialists turbo heat shield (again, pro black finish) that is not shown on the pics (due to ease of access for recent maintenance checks) that i will chuck in with the sale. I think these are in the order of £280 new!!!
I have thought about breaking the car as will probably get more for it in bits but a) haven't got the time at the mo, b) do not have the space and c) being a Ford enthusiast, i cannot bring myself to do it! This will make a good winter project for someone that's handy with a welder or for someone looking for a track car next summer!
The car will need to be trailored away as obviously no tax or MOT.
