Mondeo Ghia X ST Replica
It's time to sell my Mondeo to free up a little spare cash for christmas, it has done 147k miles, comes with tax until january, and mot until mid febuary.
I originally bought it 4 years ago as a bog standard ghia x, comes fully loaded with electric everything, heated seats, cruise control, full 8 function digital trip computer, Automatic warning system (indicates bulb failures, low brake pads temperature service due ect.) I fixed a few minor issues like the aws system not working properly as it had been disconnected, got all the door handle lights working as they should. car had a problem with the alarm going off all the time so replaced all the door strike switches and bonnet switch and that solved the problem. then i added a few modifications such as the blingy bits for the engine bay, induction kit, full stainless cat back exhaust, stainless four branch manifold, and the genuine ford RSAP bumpers and skirts, all the jacking point covers are present as are the fog surrounds as these are common to 'disappear' from these kits, and jbl speakers all round with highlevel tweeters on the dashboard all profesionally installed, it did have an aftermarket head unit in also but i have removed this and put back the standard ford 7000 series radio which also has a 6 cd changer under the passenger seat.
I sold the car last year to my brother in law who used it to drive back and forth from germany where he worked, he did the black eye mod and painted the fog surrounds black, he also had a new rad fitted whilst he owned it. One night in March, on the way back to England the headgasket failed, needing a car to go back he bought himself a mk3 mondeo, so i bought the mondeo back and had the head skimmed fitted a new gasket and cambelt kit, tensioners ect. and the car nows runs like a dream again, ive been using it every day since and taken it from norwich to aberdeen and back and it didnt miss a beat the whole trip, at the same time as doing the headgasket and cambelt i had the air con serviced and re-gassed which really helps clear the windows in the cold.
The only bad bit is the rear wheel arches are beggining to look a little rough and lets the car down a little but you can see the corrosion in the pictures, but regardless the car is mechanically sound, the interior is in fantastic condition considering the milage, and with a little exterior restoraion the car will be mint.
