I'd agree a bit with the above,but I love marmite and I love this.
Shell's got to be worth £2500 or so,maybe more?there's no way you could paint one up for that price let alone weld it all etc?

I love that car, except the arches and i just couldn't live with them.
I suspect a lot of people feel the same, real shame cos it's stunning.

2.5k is very ambitious i think 1800 will be a hard price to obtain. Its not a genuine RS shell but like everyone says if someone likes it they will buy it

Just looking at the ebay pics and thout i recognised those garages, i grew up in bracknell and painted my old fiesta sport in one of them...also noticed the shell on the duel carridgeway, many many races in my old system2 rst up and down there...oh the days before speed cameras..

Good luck with the sale or stripping of the car, shame its so unique to you as i think this is what is holding it back..

To be honest i think you're going to have to keep it because nobody's bought it have they?

That or rip it to bits.It may be more appealing if it had a better engine fitted when it was done,CVH turbo or maybe zetec.

As said it's a very marmite car but now is not the best time to sell anything.

No i used to have a yellow illusion kitted S2, i always used to knock about up the rink when i was a wee 17yr old in my Rs...a few lads were in some nice cars at that time, a lad called spence used to have a rst orion in red, yan cocks had a red g plate rst he lived in ascot though,he used to sell uprated lay shaft rst boxes and was mates with lee hatfield of hatfield motors...its been a few yrs since ive been down that way...

yeh im good mates with yans boys and they tuned up one of marks rs turbos.... his crystal blue s2 a few years ago

i remember seeing the yellow s2 about, i think we had our orange mk2 rs2000 then

yep we are watching a st170 running gear at the moment with everything so might sell the engine and carbs and manifold off this soon

Small world eh, I remember silas(spl), was about 12 when I used to knock about with Lee and yan. I still have mates around that way. Windsor cruise back in the daybused to be a good night. Then things got expensive when I got a cosworth, never again ha ha.
