Default 1989 2WD Sierra Cosworth 400bhp.

For sale here is my brothers 2wd Sierra Cosworth. (advertised on behalf of goldmember coswurv)

It is a 1989 With a private plate of “FUY 370” which will be sold on the car.
The spec of the car is amazing and a true credit to my brothers hard work and attention to detail. There is a full restoration thread of this cars transformation here:
https://passionford.com/forum/restor...sie-resto.html
The engine spec of the car is as follows:
Standard bottom end with a .25 ground crank, brand new bearings all round, new high pressure oil pump, brand new pistons and rings, WRC 4 layer steel head gasket, cometic gaskets all round, fully rebuilt head which was checked and finely skimmed to be perfectly flat, all new sensors throughout.
The car also comes with lots of modification parts, GT3071R turbo with a modified .63 exhaust housing, the turbo is genuine garret not a cheap remake and has done less than 2k. -34 actuator, Pace RS500 intercooler, grey injectors, 3 bar map sensor, custom MSD chip, full bailey breather system with matching tanks on each inner wing, group a coil, motorsport 071C plugs, bailey swirl pot, Alcon 6 paddle clutch, Custom Scorpion exhaust system, Group A K&N air filter, Fully silicone hosed throughout inc the incredibly hard to come by hose to go from the turbo to intercooler as this is a custom order hose, Mocal Oil cooler.
The engine produced 408.1BHP at Motorworx in Marlow less than 2 months ago.
Apart from the engine spec the car has had a full underside restoration which can be seen in the resto page above. This included every component being powder coated and the car being fully polybushed throughout. Everything is new or refurbished underneath. Brand new fuel pump and filter ,it has also had a brand new Fuel pump re-wire kit put in it as well as a brand new fan loom. The car also has a brand new set of GAZ coilovers which have covered 30miles max! It has had a set of evo 8 brembo front brake callipers fitted along with focus rs mk1 discs and braided brake lines throughout, a set of CDF side skirt clips.
The interior is in very good condition with all the head lining and rear quarter trims being recovered and look as new, Inside the car also boasts a SECS monitor in place of the original clock and a 3 triple pod gauge holder and gauges(Oil pressure, Oil temp & Boost) in place of the centre heater vents.
Bodywork on the car is very good and polishes up to a very deep shine, as shown below.
The car comes with 2 massive A4 folders full of history, with all history and receipts dating back to the early 90’s.
The car has had 6 owners 4 of which before me were the same family.
The car is currently sorn and has 6 months MOT.
There is a very small mark on the drivers rear arch where a small blister had started smaller than 5p.
The car does however have a small engine issue, the car has started to smoke slightly once warm on further inspection it looks as if there is an issue with cylinder 3. The car still runs and drives as normal with full power but smokes a little when warm. It could be something very easy to fix but my brother has lost interest hence why he has asked me to sell the car for him.
The car is extremely cheap at the price I’ve advertised it for even with the smoke issue. It is strictly no offers and no swaps.
Do not waste my time and your own.
Price is £6495.
Car is located in Oxford.
Danny 07852771007.

Sometimes wish I could get away from the damn things but theres nothing else out there that excites me.... at least not around the same kind of price range to buy and run.

I blame Paul cos I bought my first Cossie off him!!

Just to add to this so it doesnt get reported again for me not being a gold member, i am a gold member!, ive asked my brother to advertise the car on my behalf, as its gonna break my heart to see it go but it needs to go ive spent far to much over the years of ownership and it needs someone with a fresh head to sort the engine blue out, which isnt gonna take alot but my fuel tank is empty with the car now and i think a fresh head will finish it off and the car will be a real treasure for the new owner.
If it doesnt go in 2 weeks i shall get him to list the parts and people can put there names down, once there is enough names down to warrant taking it apart we will do so but i hope it doesnt come to that, you see saphs for sale on here for the same price range with no underside resto's or none with the amount of toys this has on it so i personally think its priced fairly, thanks.

Any idea's yourself what's wrong with cyl3, valve, rings, piston? I know it's hard to tell when it's still together but if you've investigated just wondering if you have any clues. If you end up breaking it I may be interested in the full car minus engine.

Well i think it may be the top ring that might have broke, either that or a guide seal has come off or split to allow the oil down the valve stem, either way its not gonna be a great deal even if the buyer needs to source another .5 piston, i basically stopped driving it as soon as the smoke started so ive made sure any damage is minimal.

Giving the car one more week to sell complete, I have listed parts in the parts for sale section so put your names down for what you want.

Well dont know what to do really, ive sent the injectors off to scs to have them tested as its number 3 that has oil inside it and im thinking it may have damaged the piston if it was lean in that cylinder, so i hope number 3 injector does have an issue as that way i know whats caused it and it can be rectified.
