Mark's 3dr cossie SOLD as of 9th July 20011
As many of you know Mark died in March and it is with much sadness I have to sell his beloved Cossie. Below i've copied and pasted some info provided by Matt Baxter who is also willing to take any questions you may have about the car.
I've been advised to ask around the £9k mark but I'm open to sensible offers. I have downloaded some pictures into Mark's albums showing the work that has been done, there are also many parts to go to including spare wheels, interior door panels, rear lights, full dust cover, A4 folder bulging with documentation/reciepts ect and much more
Moonstone blue 3door Sierra RS cosworth
Approx 270bhp stage 1 of tune
t3 turbo engine is nice and quiet no smoke etc
Fully detailed/restored underside and painted in moonstone by Lee Ivatt, so is mint condition better than when it left the factory all those years ago!
Wheels are Azev 8x17(rare) with as new Pirelli tyres all round
Interior is very good contition with just the odd crack in the dash (better than most out there), seats are again good with just a bit of lower bolster wear but no holes in the material
Bodywork is almost mint with just a very small bit of the lacquer lifted on the drivers door top corner and on the top of the rear quarter by the roof gutter. Other than that it's very nice condition and most importantly NO RUST!
Thanks for checking out this ad but the car is now sold as of 9th July 2011

This car is proper mint IF only I had the spare cash and somewhere to store it I would be mine without doubt,
And as Collette says I you want to know anything about the car I "should" be able to answer it or if you need any pics of anything in particular then please let me know,
Oh and please NO messers!

Sadly I let my photobucket account lapse after not using this forum for the last year or so. So all the resto pics in the thread are gone.
Ill spend some time now making a new album.
Really sad news, I know everyone says the same old stuff but Mark was truly a genuinly nice guy. Very down to earth and this car ment the world to him. Even when he got his bmw stuck in our field, he saw the funny side when I dragged him and the car trailer back 20 feet with my landrover, nearly ripped the front chassis and subframe out of the old girl.
The car, well, it needs to be seen in the flesh. Ive got no ties to the car and can remain totaly unbias when I say it really is one of the best 3doors our there.
This car is original, it still wears its original paint from when it left the factory, and when you take this into acount you can see how much love and care has gone into this car.
Its been gararged for 99% of its life, and I dont think its hardy saw wet weather and it showed when I bare metaled the underside. On the entire underside there was one piece of surface rust no bigger than a 20p!
Personally I prefer a car to be this way, its not an over-restotored trophy, its a super clean car with character, that can be driven to shows and still put to shame a vast majortiy of its counterparts.
Price, well I know Marks answer to that, he would have said it was priceless!
Its very difficult to price these days, all I can say is if your in the market for a 3door as a super clean investment, then this is the car for you!

this car is truely stunning, always loved it when Mark was at the shows and meet,
really hope someone withing the scene buys it as it would be great to see the car at the shows as a piece of Mark lives on......
so wish i had the money to buy it myself.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Hopefully the next owner will treasure this car as much as Mark did. Would be a real shame if it became just another abused 3 door.

Imo this car is priced perfectly
Its easy to say somthing is to cheap but we are in the middle of the worst economic climate this country has seen for hundreds of years and if you need to sell somthing then it needs to be priced at a fair price that will get intrest and it will sell
You can advertise somthing like this at 11 / 12k but IMO it will NOT sell
if the car was 100% std and never seen paint then yes 12k
Remember what a hard job these lads are doing and they want the car sold to the first serious buyer , they dont need messers with no money who want to p/x there rotten saff that they want 8k for
I think this car is a great deal at 9k and will sell
Im sure first to see will buy
