My Escort 1982 XR3 - JWS 365X
Well I've just been told that the chap who rents half of my unit is moving out and faced with myself and my brothers rent, who shares my side, going up he is also moving out. So it looks like I've lost my storage after Xmas. And with a career change in March, it looks like i've got no choice but to sell it as I will be away for long periods.
I bought the car as a bare shell about 14 months ago of Jon Clarke (jdcrst) with the intention of storing it until I could do something mad with it, then ending up re-shelling a 74,000 mile, 3 local owner, MK3 Escort Ghia into it and using it as my Daily Driver.
Basic spec;
pics of the rebuild are here;

As you can see from the photos there is NO ROT on this car. It's had 2 tiny bits of welding (about the size of a fag packet each) but everything else is rot free. It will need a battery tray at some point being honest (it's not rotten or pissing water through but looks like its been repaired at some point), and if I was keeping it I would re paint it, but it's wearing it's 29 years old well. Also the speedo doesn't work (I think it might need a new drive in the gearbox as I tried a new cable and that didn't work)
Would make a great project for someone and I am genuinely upset as I know when I do want another MK3 Escort I'll be hard pushed to find another shell as clean as this.
I don't have a price in mind (I know you have to put one) and I know it's close to X Mas so I'll say £2k ( I know it's not worth that) and just email me your offers or it will end up on eBay. I will also throw in a low milage 2.0 Zetec engine.
Pics ( and no, the Comps ARE NOT included)
Lets hope the RST doesn't have to go the same way
