Default How much should I sell it for £££££

Hello , I,m just after some advice on an estimated private selling price for my car ( in todays uncertain market).

Its a 2003 bmw 318i ( 2 litre straight 6) 89,000 genuine miles with f.s.h(mostly BMW)
Its 2 owners from new (including me) cloth interior, looks and drives as it should with no known faults.
Lots of tax and test...I was thinking along the lines of £3995 o.n.o

Let me know what you think as I havn,t sold a car in ages, cheers lads,Darren.

But I,m not too sure if 3995 is the going rate for the car.I dont want to sell it far too cheap.

I,ve tried that but still can,t decide on a price as they seem to vary so much.from as little as 3k upto 5k.

That's a big variation, do they have the same spec etc? If not then look at ones with the same or very close to the spec you have.

Have you tried the price guide books? I think like Collins, Glass (don't quote me on those names). They should give you a good idea as to what price for the car.

Everyone wants something for nothing on Ebay.
If you want to swap it for another car then Ebay can be ok but its a bargain basement sort of place

why dont you put it on ebay for £3995 start?
then if you get that you will be happy, anymore is a bonus?
what you got to lose?
that way you will get what its worth, and thats what ever people will pay

the easiest way to price any car regardless of age mileage condition etc is to ask yourself whats the lowest you will take for it and work from there as you may well value your car @£3995 but then it may not even get a look at and people will only offer you a grand less (they always do!) for it.then you have to decide either lower your price to that or keep it as selling cars in todays market is very tricky to get right as people will always buy something thats cheap for what it is at any time of year but they will never pay more than what they feel its worth regardless of what price is in the screen!!! but as others have said you could always get a glass guide price cap price etc etc but you would not be happy with them prices as people never are they always want more as they will always say (mine is worth more than that)lol!! happens all the time.then like most your back to square one.
