I am selling my lovly ampero blue escort gti due to buying another car.

This escort has only done 53k miles and is in very good conditon, as you can see by the pictures the rear (and front) arches are mint, rust free. The only body rust i have noticed is on the boot lid just where the spoiler attaches to the boot lid, its only about a 10p size spot. The drivers door is lightly scratched with a tiny pin dent in it. Sometimes the doorlocks can be abit sticky and hard to turn the key to unlock the door not sure why its like this but the locks might need looking at (car comes with 2 keys), As you can see from the pic the inside of the boot its mint and the spare wheel has'nt been used much at all. The bodywork is excellent for a car of this age.

The engine is a 1.8 silver top , but has a nice custom painted red rocker cover with clear cambelt cover and stainless spark plug cover, the engine runs sweet, no real issues at all in the year i have owned this car. There is a slight clutch release bearing noise but its been like that since i bought it and does'nt effect the car. the car has had a new clutch put in (as per receipt to prove) all tho not sure when.

The cars interior is in vgc, there is slight wear on the drivers bolster, and a water mark on the passengers seat.. but im just being picky really allthough Both seat belts do not retrack very well. The car does not come with a headunit.

The car has been completly undersealed underneath by the pervious owner, and has lowered dampers and springs suspension (not sure how low) The car also has a custom stainless exhaust on it which was put on by the previous owner, the exhuast is fairly loud but im sure you could find/make a silencer for it if you dont like it. Its also got a k&n induction kit fitted.

The car comes with NO mot or tax , its only just ran out but as my new car needed these too i did'nt put mot or tax onto the Escort. Its had both new front CV gators fitted as the old ones perished so it should have no problems passing the MOT, It could also do with a good service as im not sure when it was last done. The cars abit dirty inside and out in these pictures but i havent had a chance to clean it as the weathers been so bad.

To even get within a few hundred quid of your asking price, you'll need to stick 12 months MOT on the car mate... tax isn't so important, but a valid MOT is one of the very main bits of paperwork that people will want to see when buying a used car, especially an older Ford.

As above about the MOT......... as to be honest without one it wont be worth alot at all....

Once thats done it should sell fairly well as its a nice looking car that hasnt been chaved up.....good luck mate

I had one of these about 5 years ago that was an s reg, low mileage, non chavtastic etc and i managed to get 2k for it! it was ultraclean and bought buy a guy who had looked at a few before mine! imho your price is way too high for not having an mot, my mate bought a white one with clifford alarm,ss exhaust and 1 years mot for 600 quid so just get an mot on it and you might see your asking price! looks like a nice car btw and not roosty like the rest. good luck with the sale mate and im not trying to ruin your ad btw!

done well there as the hpi check came back on that with more than 53k in mileage
