DRIVES LIKE A DREAM.
ABSOLUTELY FACTORY STANDARD AND UNMOLLESTED. NO MODIFICATIONS.
ALSO THE AIR CON HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO R134 AND IS "ICE COLD".
THE ONLY BAD POINTS ARE A COUPLE OF SCUFFS ON THE FRONT BUMPER AND A SMALL DENT IN THE N/S/R QUARTER. UNFORTUNATELY THESE HAPPENED WHILST IN STORAGE WITH THE FORMER OWNER.
SINCE BEING IMPORTED IN 2006, THIS GTO HAS SPENT MOST OF ITS TIME SAT IN THE BACK OF A BUSY WORKSHOP AND COVERED LESS THAN 1000km ON BRITISH SOIL. THE FORMER OWNER BEING A GEARBOX SPECIALIST BY TRADE, CARRIED OUT THE WORK ON THE DRIVETRAIN. THESE CARS ARE KNOWN FOR HAVING GEARBOX ISSUES, HENCE WHY THE GEARBOX HAS BEEN REBUILT AND FITTED WITH NEW BEARINGS AND THE TRANSFER BOX HAS BEEN REPLACED FOR A NEW ITEM. AT THE SAME TIME THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY WAS ALSO REPLACED.
SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR, I HAVE FITTED A TOAD CAT 1 ALARM AND IMMOBILISER FOR THE SAKE OF MY INSURANCE, AND CONVERTED THE SPEEDO TO READ IN M.P.H RATHER THAN K.P.H USING AN ELECTRONIC CONVERTER BOX, WHICH ALSO DELIMITS THE CAR (JAPANESE CARS ARE LIMITED TO 112mph /180kph). THE ODOMETER / COUNTER NOW ALSO CLOCKS UP IN MILES. THE CONVERSION WAS CARRIED OUT AT 78966km.
I HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS CAR FOR A SHORT TERM AND THE ONLY REASON
I WISH TO SELL IT IS DUE TO COMMITMENTS ELSEWHERE AND THE FACT THAT I GET BORED EASILY OF ANYTHING OTHER THAN A COSWORTH!
POSSIBLE PART EXCHANGE CONSIDERED FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT TASTY!
