Default nicely modified ford focus ghia saloon

i know there prob arent many fans out there of the saloon focus but this is a really nice car.

finished in met black with mint 18" multispoke alloys, lowered suspension-it sits just right.
st170 headlamps,front splitter,sports exhaust.
110k miles but owned for last 3 years by a ford mech and had full history up to his ownership and he has really looked after it.
pretty standard inside, nice clean condition with all ghia extras-a/c etc.
its t reg and will be going back on its t reg plate-the removal of the plate has been started and docs should be with me in a week or so but i have all other paperwork and photocopies of the old v5/mot.
long mot and taxed october.

will get some nice pics and upload them shortly.

price £2295

Wouldn't look 3 bad if it lost the "I have a caravan" badge on the back lol.
I was thinking the other day that these could look good, if you don't think of it as a Focus, but like a Bora to a Golf if you see what I mean

Yep, 2 litre. Pretty sure all saloons were 2.0 Ghias. I like this alot and always thought of getting a saloon, if I did it would look like this with an FRS engine in it.

Aye very nice ... Always liked the Saloons (In Red)

They came with a few different engines.

Rear Discs will Indicate a 2.0 I think but cannot make them out with my dark screen.

I only ever come across 2.0 litre Ghias, usually with elderly previous owners.

Easy way to check the engine size, put the reg. number in confused.com etc.

Do you have a record of when the cam belt was last done mate ????.

Is the exhaust system a stainless one and is it a full system or just backbox, is the suspension springs only or a full kit and do you know what make the suspension and exhaust are please ????.

Within all the documentation you have with the car does it come with all the service record up to the last owner, are there any receipts for service parts used by him when he serviced it himself ????. Does it come with the old MOT`s to back up the milage ????.

How many previous owners ????.

Lastly, can you deliver ????.

Dave.

ok just had a quick look at the paperwork and it all tallies up with what the last owner told me.
he bought it from where he worked when it was traded in -omc ford in rochdale.
it has full service history up to the date he bought it-all done by omc ford.
3/5/2000- 11480 miles
16/10/2001- 30955 miles
20/05/2002- 36655 miles
23/05/2003- 43734 miles
29/05/2004- 50937 miles
22/03/2005- 63274 miles
23/03/2006- 67239 miles
20/03/2007-70399 miles.

he bought the car on 08/02/2007 and has serviced it himself since then but hasnt stamped the book up apart from the first time when he had it officially serviced and paid for it.
i beleieve him as i know how meticulous he was when he was looking at my car he bought and the condition of the focus.

just had it up on ramp;

standard front shocks with lowering springs.
uprated rear shocks with lowering springs.
exhaust is a mild steel sports back box with new centre section and flexi pipe from cat back.
oil filter looks new,cam belt looks as new as far as i can see.
wheels are as new as are tyres

Thanks for checking for me mate, taking into account how far away you are, approx 200 miles, the cost inc delivery is far too much, ive been on auto trader and prices for these are strange in that some are alot cheaper and others are around the same if not a bit more but milage and age are alot less. Would be ideal for the other half, to be fair if you were closer id have i bought.

Bit annoying as you normal have decent cars for sale on here.

Dave.

its very difficult to value cars like this against run of the mill ones on autotrader.i normally wouldnt touch saloon focus with a barge pole as they are hard work.this isnt your average car and has had a lot spent on it to make it look like it does.i dont think its silly money for car like this for someone who wants reliability and something a bit different.
ive just sold a modded escort si for £1300
whats a standard si worth p reg with 130k- £500?

Im not disputing whether yours is worth it mate im just saying for me personally, when i take into account what it would cost for delivery on top of your asking price, its a bit beyond what i wanted to spend as its the best part of £2.5k.

If it was in a more local area to me id of made an offer as i think it looks a very decent focus from the pictures on here.

Dave.

Pm me your absolute best price delivered then bud inc payment methods you take, its a nice car going by the pics, and like ive said you seem to get some good cars but its really only the distance that has stopped me making an offer as no matter which way i look at it whether travelling by train and then bringing it home or having you deliver just adds to the cost by a fair amount.

Thanks

Dave.
