Default porsche 944 turbo

h reg,one of the last ones with 250 bhp from the factory but this one has got a couple of mods giving it a bit more power- a promax stage 1 kit(chip, uprated fuel pressure reg and boost adjuster valve) and a full heyward and scott stainless exhaust system.

in metallic black which has been freshly repainted this year with all stone chip protection clear decals refitted.sat on a lovely set of refurbished cup alloys on good continental tyres.

half leather interior in good condition(some wear to expected).momo steering wheel, pioneer cd player.

has also recently just had new thermostats, fan switch, fresh anti-freeze and water wetter fitted.runs very well and never goes over halfway on gauge.also just had replacement wiper motor linkage set up.

absolutley huge history file with this car.it has done very minimal miles in last 5 or so years-prob less than 2000 in total.it was off the road for 3 years(with sorn to prove) and has most old mots to show mileages.it has 22 stamps in service book along with lots of other receipts for recent work in last 10000 miles including gearbox rebuild, clutch, timing belt, brake overhaul amongst other things.it has covered 184000 miles and still runs like 80k thanks to all the maintainence its had in its life.
comes with a current mot until next october and 6 months tax.

runs very well indeed and pulls really strong when on boost-quite like a cossie actually.a great car and fun to drive, and a bit different from the norm.

not overly fussed if it doesnt sell but im approaching a potentially quiet period now so if it goes, great,if not ill enjoy it next summer.prices are all over the place depending where theya re for sale.im going to price it at what seems to be the bottom end of the scale for a late model turbo due to its miles- £4995.may consider a p/x,deal etc etc

some more pics as ive had a mate of mine down for last couple of days and he has machine polished the paintwork and its come up lovely, the guy who painted it only gave it a quick buff but it looks so much nicer now.

the history really is very good-in the last 10k miles its had gearbox rebuild,clutch,flywheel,all 4 brakes overhauled,alloys refurbished,new tyres,service,timing belts,thermostats,suspension parts,exhaust,wiper motor,and a full repaint.

had an enthusiast come to view this last weekend.apparently bought one brand new in the 90's and has come back to them with a c reg red turbo but wants another black later one.
he was very impressed with the car and the fact that all the niggly faults were not there.he shit himself when he took it up the road as it was so much quicker than his current car and drove/handled/braked better too.
anyway he has gone away to try to sell his red one to part fund buying mine...but i think he is hoping to get similar money for his so i wont hold my breath.
was good to hear all the positives coming from him regarding my car though.

test drives are at my discression.there are a number of factors taken into consideration/

type of car to be test driven
age of driver
weather conditions
wether the driver has their own insurance that covers them to drive other cars fully comp.(my policy allows me to sit in on test drives but 3rd party cover only).

if a young lad turns up to buy a 300+ bhp cosworth and its their first cosworth then im driving the car-ill drive it slow or fast, but im driving!
this is for a couple of reasons;
1/ its a very fast car and someone not used to driving one can easily come "unstuck".
2/cosworths are well known for being sometimes unreliable-if something is going to break on a test drive i would rather it break on me-the buyer can then walk away without feeling rather awkward.especially if the cosworth has only just come in and hasnt been driven much by me before being sold.

if a 50 year old man turns up in a brand new audi who shows me pics of his current, similar car (porsche)and an insurance certificate covering him to drive any car he is driving fully comp, then i will allow an assisted test drive.

a group of 3 young scousers came last week to buy a 1.4 mgzr.did i let them test drive it.........no,i didnt.i drove it-they were happy with it and bought it.

the guy who has just bought my audi s4 is a guy i know quite well,he is in his 50's and rather well off..did i let him drive........yes,with me in the car.

but apart from test drives i do allow(and reccomend) buyers any length of time to look over, under(jacks, lighting and lying down mats supplied or even my ramp if available) and run the car to their satisfaction.ive had instances where people have taken 2/3 hours to look over a car before deciding they are satisfied and it is the car they wish to buy........

i hope ive made myself clear.......

And for the reasons you mention above Jay.....This is why i would have NO issue with buying a car off you at all. I even mention to people i know if you have any cars that i know they are looking for. I even say..."A mate of mine has XXXXX".....Even though i have never met you i still say a mate, as this is the sort of honesty you give over especially being a dealer.

thanks tiff,appreciate that.
its very difficult in this game, especially when selling cossies etc.very hard to get price right so people come to view and condition right so they buy them.

2nd hand headlights, bumper, bonnet and grills have been offered to me from a mate in liverpool for £180 iirc, all in panther black same as mine and all mint condition so basically a hour or two and £180 will get it back to life, brand new clutch fitted august. needs nothing for the mot , problem i am havins is i am working 6 night shifts per week and just donw have time to travel to get the bits or fit them.I just gotta get a car I can insure and drive and this porker looks awesome

so £180 for bits, plus collecting bits from liverpool, couple hours bolting bits on and cost of mot.

ok bud, well the car is up my mates house but I am going to collect it in a minute so i get it. I am going to pull the headlights out and araldite the broken brackets back on (there is so little damage that it will pass the mot the headlights are not smashed or nothing its just the brackets broke off) so i will try and glur the brackets and get it mot'd and put 6 months tax on it so it is road legal again. will send you a pm later and let you know how i get on.

simon the guy with the parts said he has to go to warrington on the 25th of jan to collect some parts for his explorer so he said he can drop the parts to you then for the focus if thats ok, then hopefully i will drive it up to yuo next wednesday on my next day off.

I will let you know for definate later as i need to have a serious think about my finances but if all goes to plan and were happy with eachothers cars then we can maybe have a deal.
