Default 1996 RS2000 2WD, 12 months MOT, 6 months tax PRICE DROP

I don't want to do this, but due to my student loans being totally retarded for this year, I think I might have to buy something cheaper for a while. Will see how much interest there is, but it may have to see ebay. I want to keep it, but I'm really not sure I can afford to, so unless I get some reasonable insurance quotes, it has to go.

Has the usual RS2000 bits, Recaro interior, electric windows and mirrors etc etc. It also has all the factory options, heated front screen, passenger air bag and air conditioning, which isn't massively common on the 2WD models.

It has receipts for a clutch less than 10k ago, and also had a replacement cylinder head fitted a few thousand miles ago, along with the timing chain being replaced too, so no worries on that front. Only recently been MOT'd, no advisories, required a wishbone bush (has genuine Ford arms on now) and had new lambda sensors too as the emissions were high. Has also just had six months tax put on it. Toyo Proxes4 all round. Rears are hardly worn, fronts are half worn.

Since owning it, I've put a few bits on, replaced the coil pack loom which are a common fault, also new plugs, oil and filter change, and will try to do the fuel filter before selling, or it will be included in the sale (genuine Ford item). Standard apart from Mongoose cat back system and JR induction kit. Also minor interior changes, Puma door handles and a JVC CD player with uprated front and rear speakers.

The interior is in fairly good condition, seats aren't too bad, cigarette burn on the rear bench but these are cheap and easy to pick up, and it needs a new parcel shelf support on the drivers side. Recaro's aren't too bad at all though, no rips or anything like that.

Outside isn't perfect. Passenger door has rust along the bottom edge, and the drivers arch needs replacing really. Couple of other little bits too, but nothing picked up on the MOT. I had planned to have all this done over the next couple of months, but it seems that plan has been ruined! This is a 13 year old car though to be fair, so a few marks are to be expected.

I'm gonna say £1095ono. I am open to negotiation, as I would rather it went sooner instead of later, due to the insurance being due soon, and I don't really want to fork out for that, just to have to mess about changing around in a month or two.

Like I say, it isn't a perfect example, but it's hardly expensive, when mint ones are changing hands for £2500-£3000.

Mileage is 123k ish. Higher than I wanted when I bought it, but it's had a replacement head on, new gasket, new timing chain etc, and they're strong old engines so I went for it!

Will try and get some more pictures of the rust areas!
