cossy have two types one held in with a clip and the other with a ball and circlip
so what do you need?

Just ripped a pic off Google!!!

I honestly don't know as mine broke inside the gearbox and is probably in a million pieces

You seem knowledgable on the subject so maybe you could enlighten me?

I'll buy both if you know where I can get them.....

I tried Ford today (not expecting to find anything but always worth a shot) and there is apparently none in any Ford dealership in Ireland, UK or Europe. They searched for a Sierra Cosworth 2WD box too so anything from 83 to 91 roughly.

Doubt you will get one anywhere mate unless someone breaks a box I was looking for one too, early boxes has the clip later had the ball and circlip.

I managed to get the later one and have had to make it fit, they come in a browny colour.

Those pictured look very similar though as long as the ID is the same and amount of splines it will still work, what were they off of?!

Also I doubt it has broken as such just sounds like it has come loose off the shaft so probably the early type you will have to take the end cover off to have a proper look may just need a new clip!! Which are also rocking horse shit

Thanks for the reply mate.

I bought another box with the speedo gear on the shaft, the brown one

Indeed the one in my car had broken off in bits. Happened my old gearbox too

Hopefully will get the box swapped soon.

Thanks again for the help, it is much appreciated.

Philip.
