The problem is a 550bhp Cosworth properly sorted will have cost 25k + to build & the next owner wants to pay 8k. Hence why they are not sold. Its even worse for a car like mine a sorted 1000bhp car will cost 65k+ as a minimum.

I was in the same boat 6 months ago mate, they literally just rarely come up!
In the end by a bit of luck I got hold of a reasonably tidy one with a good spec for the money I paid.
Now I can throw a bit of money at it too
Good luck!
Cheers Paul

But you could not buy the fastest GTR in the world for that .
Of course people wont pay that money for a Saff its crazy but so is the car.
In reality its not for sale still have unfinished business .
You have more than enough to buy a Top top car that's more practical than mine.

You seen the thread on here titled 500bhp saff? The ebony saff 4x4. Going by the owners Facebook that's for sale he states 10 grand! Not sure on spec but looks very clean has ap's and would be easy to make rwd!

Half the problem is people spend loads on tuning and forget about bodywork, most unless they had treatment in the early days will have rust in place you cant see and just gets worse.
I'm doing a complete resto on mine and knew there was some rust but when I took the rear beam off the chassis mount areas had started to collapse!!! Have now repair it and other areas and will be getting the whole underneath blasted and painted then the whole car.
When I bought it looked mint but over the years rust has come through and a lot of the places were where some one had a full respray and rust hadn't been sorted and kept going under the nice paintwork.
Got a long way to go but once it's done will be a clean example worth the money!!
If you keep finding good 4x4 ones have you not thought bout converting it to rwd?! With your budget you should easily have the spare cash to get all the parts?!!

Might have to look at other cars because I don't really want to convert one to 2wd
