the 4x4s were first released in mk5b guise deffo no mk5 4x4s! more like 150 mk5bs and 450 mk6s

you could probably bodge a 4wd rear end onto a 2wd but it wouldn't be easy and would require a lot of thought and fabrication
deffo would be a bodge if so as looking at my 4x4 and a 2wd rs2k theres loads different, boot floor, shallower spare wheel well not to mention the prop tunnel!
