Last nite at about 1am when an m3 tried to come past me i thought f~#* that and gunned the rst, the m3 slowly started creeping backwards and me and my 2 mates were laffing our heads off, i then hit the rev limiter in 4th which let out a massive flame and a bang which is always good for the engine and looks really cool. Then with the sound of my mates shouting KEEP IT PINNED! into 5th i went and gunned it again still laffing and still pulling away from the m3. I didnt shut off untill the car was off the clock and the slip road was approaching the m3 was a dot in the distance which is when i discovered that the car wasnt running at its best and that 150mph run mite have done some damage so i pulled off to a side road to try and work out what could possibly be wrong. I came to the conclusion that 150mph combined with the fact that the car has been stood in the garage for 6 months and this was its first run out mite all be contributing factors. I think this is much more in detail Chris. All on a private test track obviously. ZVH time mate.
sounds like it was worth while to me lol
i'v done this a few times, when mine was stripped and inspected closer on 2 occasions it had cracked a piston, and the other 2 occasions it had melted a piston, all due to running weak, the pressure then coming back up through the head is what blows the oil cap off.
