tbh i think they are fantastic cars that get alot of bad reports from people who havent owned or driven one.
you hear tales of the transfere box being weak but i think this is untrue.
regualr oil changes for the t-box and all is well.
i absolutely canned mine everywhere and it never let me down.
fantastic through bends, holds the road like shit to a blanket.
id agree they are slightly underpowered but do a 2.3 conversion and you will have quite a reliable tool.
i drove mine very hard most the time and it didnt miss a beat.
the only thing to remember is you wont be able do do wheel spins or doughnuts in it.
in the wet the back end is quite light and you do get it stepping out which is fun.
dont expect lighting performance but they are very fun cars that you can throw around and know its so sure footed.
the intererior on the mk6 rs2k is spot on, very comfortable recaro's.
like i say get your self onto the rs2000 site and there is bags of info on there.
some very intresting projects on there aswell.
you wont get much positive comments about the rs2000 on here even though most havent driven 1.
id buy another one if i had the chance at a later date however family duties call so something more practical was needed.

Thanks for your opinion i have spoken to a fellow rs owner and he sais they are a good car as well, like i said b4 its not about to power but the over-all car. The one i have seen is a past concourse winner so its not for thrashing around in but more of showing. Thanks again for your time and it gives me food for thought...
