If you could get a decent E46 M3 for 10k then I'd agree.. but surely you cant get a decent mileage, decent history, decent condition E46 M3 for that money yet?! I havent looked for a while, but to get something reasonable, it used to be up around 14k a wee while ago.

A MK1 FRS would also be on my things to consider.
