how to check if exhaust is blocked?
a while ago i melted a cat, when we took it off the innards were in pieces etc.
replaced it with a decat pipe, hey presto car felt much quicker again.
after a while i noticed a slight drop in power, and i am losing about 2psi of boost (its a supercharged zetec) and it came up with a fault code of exhaust blockage when we plugged in a diagnostic.
i thought it had the code from when the cat was fooked, but now i'm thinking maybe bits of the cat had gone down the pipe into the next silencer and are partially blocking it? when i rev it up i can hear something rattling.
is there a way of checking if the silencer has got a partial blockage without removing it? its got 2 centre boxes welded together and its a real pain to remove them.
